Hacker Culture definition - hacker
As do other professionals—doctors, lawyers, and
engineers—computer hackers have their own culture, language, initiation rites,
unique social rules, and particular reward and punishment behaviors that only
those in the Computer Underground (CU)
truly understand. One of the most detailed studies on the social organization
of hackers in the computer underground was conducted and reported by Gordon R.
Meyer in 1989.
