Swissy definition - finance
Market jargon used in the foreign exchange market to refer to the Swiss franc. The Swiss franc is perceived to be a safe currency because of SwitzerlandÂ’s neutral-ity in foreign affairs as well as monetary affairs. Switzerland is one of the few European countries that has not adopted the euro. In times of economic or political turmoil, the Swiss franc rises as investors shift funds into Swiss francs.
