Securities Industry Association definition - finance
A trade group for broker/dealers. The SIA represents the industryÂ’s interests before Congress and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). It keeps statistics on the industry, including profitability data. The association also educates the members about a variety of issues related to securities.
