Class B shares

Class B shares definition - finance
Mutual funds shares that typically have a deferred sales charge, or back-end sales charge, that is assessed when shares are redeemed. Typically the fee declines the longer the investment is held. Definitions for each class vary with each fund. See also Class A shares, Class C shares, and Class I shares.
