sin stock
Stock of a company that derives all or a significant portion of its revenues from socially questionable activities such as gambling, selling alcoholic beverages, or manufacturing and distributing tobacco products. Some organizations and investment companies avoid investing in sin stocks. For example, the foundation of a university may decide to avoid owning the stocks of any companies engaged in the manufacture and/or distribution of alcoholic beverages or tobacco products.
