  1. Insurance providing broad coverage. For example, comprehensive health insurance offers a wide range of coverage for most expenses caused by illness or accidents.
  2. Vehicle insurance to cover financial loss from theft or vehicle damage other than collision. For example, damage from a hailstorm is covered by comprehensive insurance, subject to a deductible.
